Most people are not aware that “mobile homes” are built under more rigid construction standards than conventional “on-site” built homes. They do not have an accessible attic area due to a lower sloped roof.

Manufactured homes present a greater challenge with the need to enter the crawlspace to inspect the foundation and various visible components. Special considerations are sometimes needed with respect to certain building codes, which may be different than standard "on-site" built homes.
